Hi, my name is Sami W. Al Jallad. I have had the privilege of being Turning Leaf’s Executive Director since 2003. I am a Spartan for life having graduated with honor from Michigan State’s Eli Broad’s College of Business. Since 1996, I have held various positions within the organization including that of Direct Care Staff, Facilities Supervisor, and Chief Financial Officer. Since my 2003 appointment I am proud to have been a part of a number of organizational improvements including our first ever three-year CARF Accreditation, the rebranding of the agency, various capital improvements, and substantial enhancements to our clinical staff resulting in a more comprehensive offering of rehabilitation programming.
Being able to serve our consumers and employees in a way that holistically improves their lives has been a humbling experience and one that I would not trade for anything. In December 2009, I graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint, completing my Masters degree in Public Administration with a concentration in health care.
In my spare time I enjoy tennis, skiing, camping, boating, and most importantly spending time with my family, friends, and Henry, my Old English Sheepdog.
