Turning Leaf’s goal is to help clients achieve maximum independence in a safe, relaxed environment, so they may realize their full potential. As appropriate, clients are offered the opportunity to live independently in spacious two-bedroom condominiums on campus with on-site staff assistance as needed. Clinical and therapeutic services are offered just as they are in the other residential programs, but are adjusted accordingly. Clients also have access to assistance with any of the daily living activities that have not been fully re-established. Group activities, community outings and structured activities are offered, and participation is encouraged. Services typical of the independent living program include behavior therapy, medication management, counseling, moderate ADL assistance, recreational therapy, and vocational supervision, assuming that the client has established competitive employment by this point. Vocational therapists are available to supervise and assist clients with their transition into competitive employment until their independence is established.
The following therapeutic and clinical services are available on-site for our clients, based on each individual’s person-centered plan.
